I can’t believe people are even getting funding to even perform studies such as these. Only in Korea I guess…. And how do you even go about concluding such a fact based on a population pool that consists of a sample size of 144?? (Stats at work here). But anywho’s just came upon the article and thought it was kind of silly. Every day there is someone genius who comes up with a brand new ratio theory: your glove size, shoe size, ear lob length, nose size, distance between your thumb and forefinger, etc. is related to the size of your junk. Mhmm.

Little Sheep Mongolian hot pot. The broth, Before the veggie and meat madness, lots of chinese herbs!!

The origin of all the Melting Pot Craze. If you have never had hot pot you can think of it as an East Asian Fondue. The pot is kept simmered in the middle of the table and several raw dishes surround the pot. Lots of veggies and thinly sliced meats are cooked in the broth using chopsticks. It only takes about half a minute for meats to cook since they are sliced so thin. Towards the end the broth is sweet from all your goodies dippins & you can eat it with noodles.

I’m really looking to put myself out there this year, especially before I apply for PA school. So we all know that the ISV program didn’t work out with volunteering in Thailand. Just thought it was too much OOP (out-of-pocket).

There are a couple of opportunities I would have liked to take advtg of but it looks like i just passed one up recently, literally like a week after it happened in May. The Thousand Smiles Foundation they are an organization based in SD and travel down to Ensenada, Mexico once to twice per year on a mission. Volunteers (dentists, dental hygienists, nurses, students) provide medical and dental work to under privileged children in the region. It’s a 2 day mission and you stay overnight in MX. You don’t have to have credentials to volunteer of course. & Next one up is in August! So we’ll see, only thing thats stopping me is that I’m still kind of iffy on going down to Ensenada…

Thirdly, Just found out about a global medical brigade, through a local MD, that goes on medical missions in South America every 3 to 4 months. The brigade, made up of students and healthcare providers, provide medical care to those who aren’t as fortunate enough to access care. There is a chapter in SD that was just formed recently. However, the group that was formed is part of the medical brigade of SDSU. Not sure if i have to be an affiliate with SDSU in order to volunteer with this organization. Shot them an email about the mission so i guess I’m bound to find out sooner or later. If so it looks like the trip is for a week to Panama at the beginning of January. I’m all for it!

Not to mention that they are currently reviewing my application to the SD Sheriff’s Criminal Lab Dept.

…So many opportunities… Hoping for all of them!!

Memorial Day: Cedar Creek Falls. It was quite the climb out. Made me realize how out of shape I am in comparison to when we did Havasu Falls. 2 miles in & out, but going up hill for 2 miles, I was like gasping for air. lol. This didn’t seem half so bad compared to 10 miles in Havasu. Seeing pictures of the people who made it out their this past weekend I really wished that i had gone this year. Oh well, perhaps the next I will be twice prepared. Cedar Creek was waaaayy overcrowded though on the holiday weekend. Would have been nicer to see its beauty on a more quieter day.

Next stop (& when i’m in better shape) lol: Three Sisters Falls. Was informed about it over dinner this past weekend, & she made it sound difficult (as does everyone else on yelp) but worth a try!! There’s also pictures of yelpers sliding down the second big waterfall ((: We shall see!! And hopefully thats before it dries up for summer.
